Senior Associate Attorney

Lauren L. Armstrong

Lauren Armstrong is a senior associate with the firm and manages the Las Cruces office. She provides direct representation to individuals and families on a wide array of immigration matters such as family petitions, consular processing, green card applications, naturalization and citizenship, VAWA petitions, U Visas, and removal of conditions and green card renewals. Ms. Armstrong has particular expertise in humanitarian protections available to children and survivors of domestic violence. Ms. Armstrong also serves as an adjunct professor at New Mexico State University, teaching courses on Gender and Immigration. Ms. Armstrong is fluent in Spanish.

Ms. Armstrong has been a licensed attorney for over a decade and has worked in immigration law for the majority of that time. She has experience in both private practice as well as the non-profit sector, and previously worked with non-profit organizations in Washington, D.C., serving trafficking survivors and detained immigrants. Ms. Armstrong graduated with High Honors from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) in 2002, and graduated Cum Laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2009 with a J.D. and M.A. in Latin American Studies. She regularly serves on the Board of Directors of the Immigration Law Section of the New Mexico State Bar.

Ms. Armstrong was drawn to immigration law after serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama, where she lived and worked for three years after college. Immigration is a unique and deeply personal experience for each of our clients. Ms. Armstrong is honored to help guide families through these important and complicated processes, serving as a guide and advocate every step of the way.
